2nd Battn The Royal Scots Officers Forage Cap badge 1871-80
An extremely scarce and lovely badge In Silver, Gilt and Enamel. This is Bloomer Book 1 No 29. 70mm (2.75") Tall and 60mm (2.25") wide. Silver in very good condition with all rays intact. Gilt very good. The blue backing plate is original but the enamel has been replaced with blue enamel paint. This could be repaired or re enamelled. Fastening Pin intact.Catch missing.

Victorian Royal Highlanders The Black Watch O/Rs Home Service Helmet Plate
A scarce piece in immaculate pristine condition. Pattern worn from 1881-1901.In 2 part construction it is identical to the plate listed in Bloomers Blue book on p65. My husband bought it out of the Arthur Strutt Collection. Arthur Strutt was perhaps the most famous collector of Scottish militaria.The patina on the three lugs is the only real sign of age but It is guaranteed original. read more
