The 92 Gordon Highlanders 6th Volunteer Battalion Officers Shoulder Belt Plate

With its origins in the Aberdeenshire and Banffshire Rifle Volunteers the 6th VB was formed I the early 1880s. In 1908 it was consolidated with the 4th VB as the 6th Battalion GH. This plate presents beautifully. It has a bright silver backplate on this a large hobnailed star on this a hobnailed St Andrews Cross to the centre a strap "6th VB Gordon Highlanders terminated with a thistle spray. To the centre the Stags head over the coronet. Retailed or manufactured by Bissett Stephen and Norrie Aberdeen two fixing loops absent but this does not detract from the plate.
