Victorian Royal Marines Light Infantry Officers Helmet Plate

This is a very fine example of KK 1091 worn 1878-1901 with a gilt star plate on this the Victorian Crown under this a scroll Gibraltar below a double laurel wreath inside this the motto Per Mare Per Terras ( On Sea and On Land) over a blue enamel background to the centre a silver Globe with gilded land mass. to the bottom of the strap a fouled anchor and below this a silver strung bugle. 2 lugs to rear. Superb example
