Victorian The Suffolk Regiment Large Silver Officers Badge

This design was worn between 1843-1855. It is silver and measures 9cm X 8cm. It is illustrated in Parkyn P109, so could be from a Shoulder Belt Plate, a pouch, or a shako. All in one piece die stamped silver. Crown over a scroll "Minden Gibraltar, Seringapatam" over a Laurel spray with India to bottom. In the centre a strap with "Montis Insignia Calpe" To the centre a key over the castle with numerals XII below. 4 short loops to rear. A really nice scarce piece.
