Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders 8th (Argyllshire) Volunteer Battalion NCOs or O/Rs Glengarry badge.

This was formerly the 5th Volunteer Battalion A&SH which had been formed from the various Rifle Volunteers. Some volunteered to fight in the Boer War. The 1st/8th served on the Western Front in WW1 and in France and Belgium in WW2 in 1947 it was amalgamated with the 11th A&SH.
