A superb plate. Gilt back plate Large silver star. Strap with Honi Soit Qui Mal y Pense, below this a scroll with Leicester all in silver, red St George Cross to centre in Red Enamel. Chamois to rear with the owners name on the back. Captain Paget. Edmund Arthur Paget was born at Thorpe Satchville on 24th January 1810. He married twice to the same woman. Martha Nedham, Firstly in West London and secondly in Melton Mowbray. He resigned from the Militia in May 1861 and was a Magistrate. Lovely item in very fine condition
