Very Scarce and fine example of this lovely plate. Silvered Star plate with honi soit qui mal y pense to silvered strap. Dragon and laurel wreath in gilt. Two banners to bottom stating South Wales Borderers and 4th Volunteer battalion.3 good lugs to rear. They had their origins in the Monmouthshire Rifle Volunteers and were established as a Territorial Battalion in1885 Superb condition and a very scarce item
