Superb Brooch to the 1st Renfrewshire Volunteer Battalion A&SH. The Renfrewshire Rifle Volunteers were formed in 1860 it became the 1st Volunteer Battn 1n1887. Detachments from the Battalion served in the Boer War The HQ was at 37 Newton Street Greenock.
