Victorian Welsh 1st Glamorgan Rifle Volunteer Corps Officers Helmet Plate

Absolutely superb example of this scarce badge in silver or silver plate. The corps was formed in 1859 in Margam I believe this badge dates from 1880 and there were 12 corps A and B were based at Margam C D and E companies at Swansea H at Cwm Avon. I at Bridgend K&L at Neath and M at Cowbridge. Became the 2nd Vol Battn The Welsh Regiment in 1887.
