Victorian Scottish Officers Mourning Brooch in Black Watch type plaid brooch.

A most unusual and scarce example of a a military widows Mourning Brooch. I cannot identify the officer. He has two crowns as collar badges and is wearing the crimson sash and a medal. The photograph was taken by a well known studio in Aldershot. Jackletts and also in the backing material is a reference to New Kilpatrick which is between Glasgow and Dumbarton The Black Watch type brooch is in silver and silver plate it is 4" in diameter and the 12" belcher chain is silver
