Victorian Pipers Plaid Brooch to the 93rd Sutherland Highlanders

A nice scarce silvered brooch. This pattern was worn from the Crimean war through to the amalgamation with the Argylls in 1881. It continued to be worn by the pipers of the second battalion Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders until around 1902
